DOG RESCUE CENTER SAMUI

Nung
After I lost my mommie, I wondered up and down Chaweng Beach following everybody who was friendly to me. At the time I was about three months old and still a puppy and couldn't take of myself, like grown up dogs can. I became very sick and I was so weak that I couldn't stand up on my feet. I was found by a kind tourist on the beach in front of a bungalow resort called Montien House. I was taken to Bridgitte, who at that time was living at the resort. I was very lucky because the DRCS had just opened. I became the first patient at the new animal clinic. Dr Somsak gave me some antibiotics for an abscess, treated me for diarrhoea, vomiting and mange. I was given special dog milk and plenty of food.

One week later I was strong enough to leave the clinic. They decided to name me "Nung", the Thai meaning for "one or first", because I was the first patient at the DRCS. My luck had also changed as I was allowed to stay at Montien House and become a Montien-dog!. This is a very special honour on Koh Samui as the owner Khun Ying feeds use everyday and takes care of any medical treatment we may require.
